STOP! Pajama-Time

This time of year, all I really want to do is curl up in front of a warm fire in some cozy pajamas, with a nice (read: cheap) glass of shiraz and a book.  I guess that is natural here with this first gust of cold, fall, weather, except, I don’t really have any cozy pajamas.

I’m finding myself lingering in the pajama/loungewear department of Target or Kohl’s.  I’ve never really had true “pajamas” (except when I was a kid and my aunt would buy them for me and I HATED it).  I’ve always been more of a t-shirt and boxers kind of person, but when you see the cute, long john matching sets, or the warm fuzzy lounge pants and matching tanks, its hard to not want to own them.

I picture myself lounging comfortably while looking impossibly adorable, not a belly or extra chin in sight, you know, like the ads in all the L.L. Bean and J. Crew catalogs, “cute guy and girl, laughing hysterically while stringing popcorn”.  Its a strange fantasy, I guess.  Nothing remotely sexy, just warm, comfortable, cozy, safe.  Maybe that is sexy.

  1. just buy the damn pajamas! But, get the ones that are all one piece and button up the front! Now, that’s hot! Make sure they have footies too!

  2. I’d have a heat stroke in pajamas with footies! And I think I’m just craving the image more than the actual pajamas! Hah! I do have a cute pair of pajama pants I got from Old Navy. If I’d just wear a tank top in a matching color, I’d have a set!

  3. i have a pair of flannel pajama pants from like 2003 or something. I hate them and wish for new ones all the time. (wishing takes place around your brother though, who doesn’t get a hint.)

  4. I hate flannel. I loved combed cotton from LL Bean or Land’s End. You really owe it to yourself to get some!
