Anyone know?

How can I convert my iTunes ACC files to an MP3?  I am finding plenty of options for Windows users but I’m on a Mac.  Any ideas, dear readers?

  2. I don’t know. How would I find out? And if I tell you why I wanted to know, I’m certain, you’d laugh.

    My brother wanted “Cum On Feel The Noise” by Quiet Riot as his ringtone and you can’t buy it so I was using a service where you can make your own. Except it had to be an MP3 file. So there. I’m officially dorky (well my brother certainly is).

  3. You bought the files from Itunes, right? I think all the AAC files are crippled. If they’re not, itunes can convert them to mp3 for you (right click, select “convert to mp3). Otherwise, you’d have to strip the drm using a program like myfairtunes. Actually, I think that’s the only program, no “like” to it. And it’s only for windows, and only for an older version of itunes (it keeps changing to stay ahead of myfairtunes).

    So you’re pretty much screwed. :-)

    Before long, all songs are going to be available w/o drm. Everyone hates it.

Well what I did was this, because you can’t burn an MP3 if its a purchased iTunes file, I burned a regular copy to a CD, then changed my settings to upload in MP3 format so essentially I wasted a disc (but it was more for experimentation anyway) to get the file in MP3 format. But, hey, I did it!

  5. Or that. I always forget that because it’s such a hassle and because this computer has a crappo cd burner (second one in less than a year).
